So a rose has these, sort of curves on the outer layers of it's petals I noticed. Maybe that's what has been holding me back, aside from drawing it at different angles.

How one draws it in its maturity is what I've been trying to draw for a while

Hmm, I'll study this more.

Yes, it's all in the tiny details. What really makes a drawing come along is not just the overall picture, it's the details that really makes the picture.
